A Road Less Traveled
Over the past few months I've spent much time on the business side of my photography business. I am so thankful for all the improvements I've made and know it will pay off in the long run. But, I've recently felt a strong reminder that I am not only in this photography business to make living, but first to share God's glory with others, and secondly to love others as Christ loves me through blessing others with beautiful professional photography.
I feel like even sharing that these are my priorities I will get faces full of shock. I assume this because I feel most people expect photographer's first priority to do something they are passionate about, and second to make a living. Well, I have to admit to you that photography became a reflection of what I am most passionate about, and that is God.
I think the best way of explaining this is for you to think of it as when you love someone so deeply, whether that is your best friend, or a family member; you want to tell the world about your love for them and all the amazing things you do together. Well, that is how I can best simplify my passion and priorities for my photography business. I want to capture the love God has for us, the beauty He surrounds us with and the amazing relationships and experiences He provides us with. Then I want to share it with all of the world, to proclaim His greatness from the rooftop....or my blog. ;)
