A Drive to Estes Park
A few weekends a go I had the pleasure of attending my church's women's retreat in Estes Park. I brought my camera with me hoping we would have some down time for me to go exploring and photograph Estes Park, an area I have yet to explore. Well, it snowed, and snowed, and snowed some more. As you can image I didn't make it out to photograph because of the weather. But I was thankful I was able to pull my camera out for a few photos on the drive to and from Estes Park.
Between the windy roads and my tendency to get car sick I only snapped a few photos.
I am always amazed at how beautiful a thick layer of snow can make everything....while I'm sure this place is absolutely stunning without snow, it was just gorgeous with it.
I love how the blue sky was peaking out from behind the storm clouds.
I do have to admit it was a challenge to shot through the windshield without making it look like I was. This one you can clearly see that, but I kinda like the character it left.
I am so blessed to live in such a magnificent state.
Praise God we all made it home safely through the storm.
