" Emmy was wonderful to work with. She is easy going and has an amazing eye for capturing that perfect family photo. My Husband and have a blended family with five kids between us. So, we choose to make our engagement shoot a family afair. Emmy had great ideas for the kids to do. Such as play with chalk writing and bubbles. She made it a wonderful experience for us all! On our wedding day, she shot all the pictures we asked for and then some! My biggest complaint is, I can't choose which ones I like best!!!! " The photos are masterpieces! My daughter and her fiancé chose Emmy as their photographer for their wedding in July of 2010. During the wedding, I do not remember once seeing Emmy or posing for her. As I look back on that, I like that very much, how invisible she was to the event. Some photographers are so forceful and in charge that THEY become part of the ceremony. Not Emmy, very quiet and retiring, letting events happen and just there recording what happened.
When we got those pictures, I marveled at how Emmy had captured my Paula and the love she has for Reed. Right there, in black and white, or sepia or full color---no hesitation, no holding back. My daughter is a very reserved person and to see her so happy, so in love.....well, it brings a joy to my heart that is hard to say with just words. You have to see my face and hear my voice and watch my hands. Emmy, you are a wonder!
The quiet drama of the bride and groom pictures make me so happy to look at.....so interestingly lovely. I love the way Emmy looks at a subject and the way it feels as if she just happened to be there and just happened to take that picture. Talent like that often looks so easy but I know it is not, much thought and planning goes into works of art. Emmy is an artist....just let her take your picture, and you'll see."
