A camera comes out and you immediately get that fake smile on. You know the one that is in every school portrait you were forced to take every year for the yearbook. The one you want to sharpie out because it just is not you.
Now you're older, wiser, and hiring your wedding photographer. You know you want candid photos. You want to have your real smile captured on your wedding day. But you're not confident you can pull it of so you search and search for the best wedding photographer out there.
Well my gems, let me tell you how I help all my clients get that real smile or capture a real moment. First, I get to know you and your future spouse a little. Sometimes its silly questions, sometimes its legitimate Facebook stalking, and most of the time its watching you two interact.
Then come your engagement photos or wedding day I'm able to help you interact how you normally do, all the while feeling comfortable in front of the camera; all with my silly comments, over the top encouragement and silences in the moments you two are so affectionally melting into each others arms. Just like this photo above from a recent mountain winter engagement photo session.
This couple is naturally cuddly people, which I knew ahead of time. So when I asked that they face each other and hold their hands up and play with each other's fingers they just melted together. I asked the guy to kiss the girl working his way down from her forehead to her chin...and the rest is a beautiful moments captured.
