I am so not ready for this little bean to be a year old, but we find ourselves so so close to it already! This past month has been so much better now that we have finally finished teething and are making progress with walking! Olive has taken two steps in a row at most, but hasn't fully committed to walking yet. She LOVES her little walker and hanging on to anything and everything to walk places. It will only be a matter of time before she is running everywhere!
This month she's pretty solid in saying "dada," "mama," "dog," and "mama mm" (aka nursing). Sometimes we will get "buh" sounds for going Number Two since we are potty training her early. There are a lot of other words she has that I have yet to discern what they are. I am anxious for her to talk for real, but am enjoying the baby babble for now.
Olive has finally learned to clap and loves it. She also still LOVES our dog, and just about all animals. She loves dancing, and has also become very cuddly with me which is super sweet, but she favors me which is hard for daddy.
This girl is such a character, which is becoming more and more evident as she gets older. She is all emotion, which is wonderful and hard. I love that she laughs and smiles so easily but she also picks up on people's frustration and sadness and is very empathetic. So when anyone is a mess, we are ALL a mess. But even on very hard days, I am thankful that one giggle out of her will help brighten anything. I cannot wait to see the little girl she will grow into as she gets older. I can only imagine and am praying that she will be full of love for people because she feels so much.
This month's photos were a bit unplanned and crazy in between life right now, but I knew I would be so sad if we took photos every month of her first year and missed this one! So we tossed her in a cute outfit from my mom and let Olive play around the mirror that hangs in her room. Of course, Olive was not quite in the mood for pictures or being smiley this day, nor for standing, haha. But thankfully, I caught a few more pictures later on of her in a better mood right before I had to leave for an engagement session.
I may also be in love with my new Macro lens. :D Where did my baby go? This is a little girl....with crazy hair. ;) Real life, people: we wanted photos of Olive standing and walking but of course she was like, "Um, no." But we got one smile out of her seconds later. Drama queen. ;) This was later in the day after two naps. So big!! I hid something from her and just thought this was so cute... She loves going up and down this step. Although now she is more stable standing she has tried to go up it standing which hasn't gone well yet. Those eyes are just gonna be heart breakers!Love you sweet girl!
