If you missed the post from yesterday you should read that first. You can find it here: http://www.searchingforthelight.com/blog/?p=3771 Ok, now that you're up to date, you'll know that for 3 years now I've been wanting to take these photos. I've been wanting to put my wedding dress back on, with Josh in a semi-nice outfit and take photos together, capturing us as we are post-wedding. While it was too cold the weekend after our anniversary to do photos outside I decided to do photos on our bed. Both of us acting similar to how we do before bed. While these photographs show truth for Josh it really isn't the case for me. I'm a tv junky sometimes and watch Netflix before bed. haha. But, that isn't fun to photograph so I grab a magazine instead. (I do actually read but I got through phases of finding a book I'm really interested in, reading that for 3 months and then not reading for a month or two.)
I set my camera up on a tripod to grab these ones. Josh was my subject to get my focus right. Even though this was a test shot I really love it. Also, just wanna shout out that I made his spoon-ring! He lost his orginal wedding ring last year while we were tubing down Boulder Creek. (Ok he ended up actually making it round, but I kinda helped, haha)
Josh had to help me put my dress on as it is a corset back. And man, was I SOO skinny when we got married haha. I'm thankfully I actually still got in my dress, but I doubt I will again after having kids as I had NO hips then, haha. After putting my dress on and moving in it, I've decided to be a lot nicer to my current brides. I remembered how hard it is to move in those dresses! Mine has a drop waist so bending and sitting is kinda a chore and really entertaining to watch me try and do. So, ladies I feel for you and sincerely apologize if I asked you to do crazy stuff in your really-hard-to-move-in dress.
Ok, enough story and here are the photos. They are kinda cheesy but I don't have many photographs of Josh and I so, these I know will be very special to us. (I know its a crime we don't get our photos take more often, but honestly I haven't found another photographer here that I highly-respect and genuinely like their work enough to want to take our photos. I know one in ABQ, Britianie Wagner Photography, but not here yet.)
