While in Albuquerque for my best friends wedding week and Thanksgiving I had the blessing of photographing Courtnee's senior pictures. We started out at a friend of her mom's house off Rio Grande. Normally I'm not a big fan of houses like this but there was a beautiful space in the backyard that we had some fun with not to mention a fun door and balcony I tried something a little different with. :)
I'm always so thankful when my subjects are willing to be a little silly with me.
Even though the hand under the chin is such a "typical" senior pose, I really like this next one.
Of course I have to throw in some artistic shots. ;)
This senior photo reminds me of a celebrity photo that you'd see on the red carpet. haha. Senior photos are great because everyone gets to be a rock star for a day. ;)
And well, who doesn't like a few glam shots. ;) These next two were taking up on the balcony of the house. I was so excited the sun was in just the right spot for this shot. Then adding a little extra light we got some fun photos.
I'm so excited for my new equipment because I can get shots like the two above and this one below, where I have my senior backlit by the sun and don't have to washout anything to get her exposed correctly.
The preview from last week. Love this one, especially since Courtnee wore a sweet ring and has fun painted finger nails!
While I was repositioning my lights she was just nibbling on her nails. I love when natural moments occur in senior pictures.
By mom's request we did these two. ;)
The lighting out in the area we were for the second part of the session was GOREGOUS!!!
So glad we were able to do some sitting photos even in her dress. Had to save these for last of course. These last few are some of my favorites.
Look at those colors in the background!! AH!! God makes some amazing sights for us to see every single day!
Thanks to my sister who used to work with Courtnee's mom who told them about me! :) Hope you enjoyed these!
