After a game of heart-felt tennis (see that post here: tennis date day), Josh and I visited the Colorado State Capitol building. It was a neat time to hang together and explore a little history and architecture. We both love old buildings and the style they have. Hopefully one day we'll own an old house with lots of awesome character.
Love this door knob!
The dome was under-construction when we went, but it was still so neat to photograph.
Stairway that kicked my butt. I told Josh while climbing these that I rather do 1000 crunches then ever do that silly stair stepper machine.
I'd love to sit in on one of these meetings.
They had a wall of portraits of all the presidents. I asked Josh which was his favorite. We both love Lincoln, but who doesn't?
Even though I'm no fashion queen I did notice that in the first 100 years of presidents they wore these awesome suits with neat collars and cool hair. But now they are all balding in the same old suit and tie. Someone should tell them to mix it up a little. Then again, I get sad that more women don't wear more dresses now days. I end up being the one girl wearing a dress most places even when it seems unpractical. Like shooting a wedding; I'd always rather be dressed as a guest to blend in a nice dress then some ugly black on black pants and shirt.
After this little adventure we thought it'd be fun to visit D.C. one day to see a lot more of American history. :) One day.
