Chloe's mom was the first to contact me. She found my photography on Pinterest and loved how different it was from the normal senior photography. What a compliment! When I asked a little about Chloe her mom told me she was very artistic, creative and some days may even be strutting hot pink hair.
While, I never died my hair super crazy colors I could totally relate with Chloe when I was in high school; I was all about being creative and doing new things. When Chloe changed into her second outfit and put a starfish pin in her hair, I was connecting with this girl immediately! When I was younger I was always the one to put new crazy things in my hair including those bows, you know the ones everyone is strutting now? Ya, totally did that in middle school back in 2000. What can I say? I'm a tread setter. haha just kidding.
When we first began the shoot it was pretty cloudy with potential storms, but I am glad we stuck it out because we were able to catch some soft lighting off the river. It was Chloe's idea to do pictures in El Dorado Canyon, which was way different from most seniors, but totally fitting for her.
Chloe brought along their dog, Lokie, who was super sweet but as any puppy hard to keep still. This was one of my favs of her and Lokie.
And here is the starfish pin!!
This pose looks like something out of Vogue, haha love it!
As the sun was setting around the canyon the trees caught some awesome light and made for this gorgeous background! What a great God we have to let us see and capture such beautiful things!
This photo was one of the few times I wish I had a second shooter for sessions. We were trying to get Lokie to face me, but ended up giving Chloe kisses. This would have been cuter from their sides but it still is pretty cute. (We tried to get him to give her kisses again but he was WAY too stimulated being outside.)
Oh, on top of beings super creative Chloe wake boards! Love it!
